Israel EdTech Week 2026

Desert Hackathon

Sunday-Monday, October 11–12
- Mindcet Labs, Yeruham

Reimagining Language- Harnessing Artificial Intelligence to Develop Language Skills in a Changing World

If we could rebuild the way people develop language skills in a changing world, without being limited by what exists today, what would we build?

Language is much more than reading and writing. It is the way we think, learn, share ideas, build relationships, and act in the world. As part of the hackathon, organizations will be able to choose which aspect of the language challenge to focus on – from developing language skills in the age of AI, through storytelling and communication, to multilingualism and intercultural communication – and develop a small, fast, scalable solution that can create real change.

In the hackathon, which is part of the EduLab initiative, harnessing artificial intelligence to reduce educational gaps in the Negev, educators, students, developers, product managers, and startups will tackle language challenges together – from reading and writing to speaking and expression, both in their native language and in a second language.

Schedule:

October 11–12

The hackathon will be held at the Mindcet Labs Campus, Yeruham.
Shuttles are available: Be’er Sheva ↔ Yeruham.

*Participation requires a symbolic fee.
